Kintera Implements Paperless Open Enrollment With Ascentis Software
Kintera, a nationwide software-for-service company, recently implemented HROffice by Ascentis in order to address issues such as accurate reporting, a seamless payroll connection, and tracking and storing data. By automating day-to-day HR processes with HROffice, Kintera said it has cut completion time in half, allowing them to devote more time to strategic issues and decrease headcount in the HR department.
"HROffice has increased our reporting capabilities, reduced our exposure to liability, and streamlined our new hire processes and employee orientations," said Trish Templeton, Kintera’s Senior HR Manager.

ADP Launches New Payroll Solution
ADP Small Business Services has released a new online payroll solution, RUN, which enables accountants to view their entire small business client base with a single sign-on, and offers a full spectrum of payroll services.
RUN is designed with accountants in mind, and only requires an Internet connection to get started. Accountants can calculate payroll gross-to-net, preview the results prior to processing, and offer online access to payroll information and direct deposit for their clients’ employees. RUN’s payroll journal entries can be exported to QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Accounting, as well as all other major accounting packages via Microsoft Excel. Based on client need, accountants can also choose to file clients’ taxes with RUN-generated signature-ready tax forms, or sign up for ADP’s full service tax filing.

Heartland Payment Systems Acquires General Meters Corp.
Heartland Payment Systems, a provider of credit, debit, and prepaid card processing, recently acquired General Meters Corporation, a developer and provider of one-card systems for college and university campuses. General Meters’ University One-Card System unites a range of functionalities including security access; on-campus dining and vending; employee record keeping; and copier, printer, fax control all on one ID card for students, faculty, and staff.

Axium, a payroll and financial services provider in the entertainment industry, uses the latest technology, Laserfiche electronic document management, to streamline and manage its documents. Laserfiche has provided Axium with an interface to link its payroll software, PayTrax, directly to its image database and make all searching functions available within that software. Laserfiche has also provided Axium with the data-lookup feature.
