Where’s My Tax Refund?
The IRS recently announced that more than $110 million in tax refund checks have been returned as undeliverable.
The IRS wants to deliver this money. Tell your employees to check out the handy “Where’s My Refund?” tool if they haven’t received their tax refund.
The Internal Revenue Service said they have refund checks that were returned as undeliverable for about 115,000 taxpayers. This is actually a very small fraction of total refund checks processed by the IRS, about a tenth of one percent. The refund checks, averaging about $953, can be claimed as soon as taxpayers update their addresses with the IRS. Some taxpayers have more than one check waiting. Taxpayers can also access a telephone version of “Where’s My Refund?” by calling 1-800-829-1954.
